Translation jobs
I usually receive the text for translation via e-mail in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF or JPG file formats. Accordingly, I send the completed jobs back in whichever format the client wants them to be in. I have all the necessary tools such as the software I need to carry out my business along with my PC, laptop, copier, printer, scanner and 24 hours LAN and wireless internet connections.Making translations is not much different from composing music or drawing pictures. If you want to have a beautiful song, or a glorious picture, it takes a lot of work. The same goes for a well done translation.
Pricing
As a rule, the price quotation refers to the source words. The amount of pages reflects the price as well. I never charge extra amounts for work to be done during the weekends, public holidays or after working hours. I believe that when something has to be done it simply has to be done. That’s it. If I have a deadline to keep, I keep it no matter what. Needless to say I always proofread my work, for which I do not charge extra money either. Proofreading is as an essential part of the whole process as the spellchecking is, and if you add to them the relevant style of the text to be preserved to the maximum you will have a picture of work well done.
